Life is hard, at least that is what many people resort to when the going gets tough, and the tough gets going. No matter how hard things get we should always keep in mind that life is hard, but God is good. All the time.
I used to blame the world for all my mishaps. It was everyone else’s fault except mine. It didn’t matter how wrong I was I wasn’t taken the blame. And God, He somehow always ended up being my last resort.
Funny how we claim to love God so much yet we don’t go to Him immediately. At least I didn’t used to. I would wait until there was absolutely no other way. And when He didn’t rescue me from my own mistakes and bad choices I would blame life itself.
After all, life is hard, but God is good.
The Bible says we have Free Will. But what is Free Will and why would God give it to us? Free Will is the power of acting without the constraint of necessity or fate; the ability to act at one’s own discretion.
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
God Will Never Forsake Us
God will never forsake us no matter how hard life gets. When life is hard it often appears more times than not that God has forsaken us.
Fortunately, this is not true. God will never forsake us nor abandon us. It is easy to feel that way though especially when we receive bad news. Bad news just like the most recent mass shootings that took place in Texas and Ohio.
Of course that is another topic of its own but I can hear the atheist screaming “Where is your God now?”
He is right where he has always been. By our sides. God will never forsake us. He will also never force us to do the right thing because of our Free Will.
The Mercy Of God
The mercy of God is unlike anything we have ever seen or will ever experience. If you are a parent you know what mercy is.
When our children act out we often have mercy on them because we love them. I don’t know about you but I do NOT like punishing my children. I hate it.
The same goes for God. He doesn’t like punishing us. But He knows that we need to learn a lesson when we mess up. Sometimes we mess up because of our own stupid choices and other times its simply out of our hands.
Either way God loves us and the mercy of God is a mercy unlike any other. God forgives us for things that are hard for us to forgive ourselves for.

The World Will Hate You
God Warned Us – The World Will Hate You. In John 15:18-27 the Bible says the following:
18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
God Comforts Us
Whatever you’re going through – God wants to comfort you. He is “the God of all comfort” 2 Corinthians 1:3
God comforts us through the bad and the good. Life is hard, but God is good and He wants to help and comfort us.
Are you missing God’s comfort? If so, you are missing out.
So how does God comfort us?
a. God comforts us by His presence
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Paul says that God Himself “comforts us in all our troubles.” In the book of Isaiah, God says the same thing, “I, even I am he who comforts you” Isaiah 51:12
b. God comforts us by His word
God’s word is filled with promises, reminders, and stories of His love, mercy, and grace.
c. God Comforts Us By His People
“For when we came into Macedonia, we had no rest, but we were harassed at every turn—conflicts on the outside, fears within. But God, who comforts the downcast, comforted us by the coming of Titus.” 2 Corinthians 7:5-6

Why Is Life So Hard?
There could be many reasons why life is so hard. Honestly, I don’t believe there is just one answer to that question.
Life is hard for everyone for very different reasons. For me it was choices I made and then refused to take responsibility for said choices.
For some it is a mental challenge such as depression or an illness. As I said above, there are many reasons for why life is so hard.
The World Is Broken
You can’t turn on the TV, radio, or even scroll through your Facebook feed without seeing that the world is broken.
Just a few days ago there were not one but two mass shootings right here in the USA that happened just hours apart from each other.
My heart aches and continues to ache as I hear of these horrible tragedies. It just goes to show how the world is broken.
Some blame the guns and some blame our government while others blame the suspect. Everybody has an opinion and everyone feels they are right.
The truth is the world is broken and until we change what is broken nothing will ever get better. We need to put God back in our schools for starters. And back in our Government 1st and foremost!
What Does The Bible Say About Life
God never said life would be easy. In fact there is verse after verse in the Bible where God promises to be with us and see us through.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. – Isaiah 40:31
Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41:10
Life Is Hard, but God Is Good
I know life is hard, but God is good and you must believe that. I used to be in a really bad place.
I used to struggle in all areas of my life. It seemed no matter what I did if something could go wrong it would. And 9 times out of 10 it did.
There were times suicide crossed my mind but I quickly realized that just was NOT an option. I didn’t want to die so what else was there? I had tried everything but nothing ever worked.
Then it finally hit me….. Life is hard, but God is good all the time. God loved me regardless of what I have done because He is a merciful God full of love and grace.
All I had to do was love by His word and trust Him. But was it really that simple? Of course it was.
When you live by God’s way you tend to give up bad habits that aren’t Godly. You also tend to see the world in a completely different way. Your entire mindset begins to change.
You start to believe you can do many things, through Christ of-course. And you actually start living! I mean really living.
Before when life was hard everything else was harder. Now life is hard, but God is good. And that my friend makes all the difference.
I wake up every morning greeting God and thanking Him. Before I was terrified even to pray. Now I talk to God even when I am in a bad mood and I know I need to change my attitude.
It is pretty amazing the things God can do in ones life if they allow Him to take control.
When life gets tough just remember life is hard, but God is good!
