Do you know God loves you? He does and more than we can even fathom. The human brain can only comprehend so much. Which could make it hard for some to believe God would ever forgive them let alone love them.
Dealing with sin and accepting that God loves me used to be something I struggled with. It was very heavy on my heart. I don’t know if it was my own guilt eating at me or if it was the devil using my sins against me. Either way it caused a rift between me and God.
One thing to keep in mind is that God loves you and he forgives when you ask for forgiveness. Of-course this doesn’t mean you can turn around and commit the same sin over and over and continuously ask for forgiveness. I mean you can but God will punish you. All sins come with consequences.
Some Christians believe a sin is a sin while others believe some are worse than others. I personally believe sin is sin. For example, murder is a sin. In 1 John 3:15 it says:
Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him.
So, what does that tell us? Basically there are more than one way to commit to a sin. Like adultery, you don’t necessarily have to have an affair to commit adultery. Just looking at someone with with a lustful heart or eyes is adultery.
God Needs You
God loves you whether you like it or not. He says in Jeremiah 29:11:
For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
This sometimes can be hard for those who struggle with their sins, like I once did. It can be hard to understand how a God of the universe, a God who created the heavens and the earth, could have so much love and patience for us when we constantly turn our backs on him.
The good thing is God doesn’t call the qualified. Instead He qualifies the ones He calls. There are people after people in the Bible who God called that was not qualified. There are three people specifically in the Bible who I like to remind myself of when feeling unqualified.
- Jonah – ran from God ( Jonah 1 : 1-17 )
- Moses – was a murderer ( Exodus 2 : 11-12 )
- David – adulterer and murderer ( 2 Samuel 11 )
There are many more people in the Bible that God qualified. This is why it so important to read the word daily. It reminds us that no one is perfect but it also helps us to be the best we can be. Using Your Gifts For God’s Glory
God loves you so much He had a plan for you before you was even born. He gave each of us gifts. I believe my gift is the gift of encouragement. I could be wrong but I feel in my heart that writing to encourage others is what God has planned for me.
I have always loved writing. Encouraging others was a little bit more of a struggle because I am in deed an introvert. So, communicating with others in person is hard for me. But writing comes so easy for me. God can take something and turn it into something bigger than you ever thought possible.
He wants to use you and has big plans for you. You just have to let Him take control. Maybe something has been on your heart for a long time and you keep pushing it aside. Have you ever thought that maybe just maybe that is God tugging at you?
The Urge To Write
I had two blogs before this. The first one was a major fail. The second one well I blogged for nearly two years. I struggled the entire time. I finally got fed up closed it down and went back to work full-time.
They say God works in mysterious ways and that He does! There was a blogging course I started looking at three years ago. It costed a lot of money. I used to think there was absolutely no way in the world I would ever be able to afford it.
Year after year I was sad and just accepted the fact that I would never be a true Blogger. Then this year rolled around, you see the course only opens once a year, and surprisingly I was able to afford it! And my husband backed me up in buying it.
I had absolutely no desire to start blogging again until I got an email that the course was open for enrollment. I didn’t even think twice. I told my husband about it and when he gave me the OK I hit purchase. I haven’t looked back since.
I know God has big plans and I can’t wait to see where He takes me. He has big plans for you too! God loves you and wants to see you succeed! Over the next week I am going to be talking about Faith and reaching God-Given Dreams and Goals so be sure to subscribe!
