Being an Entrepreneur can be stressful, you may not always know where your next check is coming from or if it is coming at all. Did you know that a little Faith In Business can and will change the outcome?
It’s true. Way too often we as Christian Entrepreneurs get side tracked and forget to put God in charge of our business.
But what if we live out our Faith in our Business? What kind of an impact could that have on us and the ones we serve?
As a Christian myself and a Blogger I am guilty of not always allowing God to take control. Nor am I good at letting go of control.
In June my traffic took a nosedive and I became very distraught, hurt, and confused. Here I was sharing the Gospel through my Blog so why wasn’t God bringing me readers? And why were the ones that I had disappearing?
It was because I wasn’t doing it for God. I was doing it for myself.
My focus was on how much money I could potentially make and how fast I could quit my job.
Not surrendering to God put me in a tight spot. And I was ready to give up.
I still have days when I feel like giving up but I fight through. You see when my traffic took a plunge back in June I did give up! I didn’t write but maybe a couple posts over the summer and I rarely pinned anything from my Blog.
Yet I wondered why I was failing. All my Faith in Business was lost.
Then one day in September I got my motivation back. Over the next couple of months I began to realize some things.
- God is in control
- Pray a lot
- Use your Gifts
Business and Christianity
Business and Christianity do they mix well? Absolutely!
According to Christy Wright’s Business Boutique there are two ways to approach faith in business:
- Your business is identified as being in the Christian sector.
- Your business is in the general marketplace but is owned by someone of faith.
She goes on to discuss how choosing one or the other will affect your Marketing, Unique Position, Labeling, and Access to other markets.
Personally I found this pretty interesting. For me as a Blogger my Business is identified as being in the Christian sector.
Before I became a serious Blogger, serious by treating it like a Business, I would often look at other Christians I knew who owned Businesses and think to myself…
If they can do it, so I can I!
The only problem was I was on the outside looking in and I wasn’t seeing everything. I only seen what I chose to see. The nice home they lived in, the big swimming pool, and the nice cars they drove.
It wasn’t until I mixed Business and Christianity myself that I realized I can’t do it without God. Business is hard.
When you have absolutely no idea if something is going to work or sale or even where your next check is coming from things can get a bit overwhelming to say the least.

You grab a hold of Fear like it will save your life and you forget God tells us to Fear Not.
We become so frozen with the lies we are feeding ourselves that we stop taking action.
Faith is Essential To Your Success
Faith is essential to your success because Faith keeps us moving. It keeps us believing and feeds us hope.
If you don’t have Faith in Business then you are likely to give up. There is no room for Doubt when you have Faith in Business.
This is why Faith is essential to your success. If you have Faith then you will take ACTION which you need to get results.
But what if God has bigger plans for you and your Business? Plans that you will never know about or experience because you are detained by Fear and not Faith.
Taking action requires Faith. Faith to step out and go for it. Taking that next step without seeing the step kind of Faith.
It is time we stop worrying what others might think and start worrying about what God thinks. What God wants.
Faith in Business is crucial to your success. It will determine where God takes you or leaves you.
