If someone were to ask me what is something I can’t live without, I would definitely say Biblical Principles. I know you thought I would say coffee, right? Well, coffee is definitely on my list! Truth be told though coffee is just a drink and that is all it is.
What can coffee do for me? Absolutely nothing besides give me the jitters if I drink too much which I tend to do every morning. Yes, coffee can give me a boost but that is about it. Honestly, I think I would be just fine without it. I just like the taste which is why I drink it.
There are however, 6 Biblical Principles that I can not live without. In fact I believe everyone should adopt them. Whether you’re a believer or just not sure, these principles will change your life. They will help you build stronger relationships and even go further in your business or career.
As an entrepreneur, it has always been important to me to succeed but without compromising what I believe. This was very hard for me in the very beginning.
Succeed With Biblical Principles
Trusting in God – this is the very first principle that I adapted and held onto like a baby holding its bottle. Trusting God can be so hard at times. When we are not sure how something will happen we worry. The Bible refers to worry as a sin because it causes us not to Trust in God and instead trust in our worry. Worry will never make anything better, so why worry?
If we trust in our worry more than we trust God we are sinning by our lack of faith in God, who has given us the richness of His constant abiding presence, for those who put their faith in Him. – Rev. Billy Graham
Repentance and Forgiveness – is the second principle I need daily. I find myself repenting or asking for forgiveness multiple times a day. Just drive with other people on the road, you’ll be asking for forgiveness too!
Integrity – must be at our core as Christians. I am a natural born conscientious person. Always thinking of others and what they think or feel. I once made a mistake at work and it bothered me so bad I called my boss and told him. I felt so much better afterwards. Integrity has to be practiced by many it doesn’t come natural for everyone.
Gratitude – should be number one. Gratitude has brought me so far from where I used to be. Every morning I wake up and the first thing I say is “Good morning Father. Thank you for protecting us while we slept. Thank you for another day.” I used to be so negative even Negative Nancy wanted nothing to do with me. Gratitude, however, changed my life.
What if you woke up tomorrow with only the things you thanked God for?
Faith – is talked about all through the Bible over and over again. Faith is something I struggled with for a long time. If I wasn’t in control then it was hard for me to let go. Let alone let God. Once I finally learned how to let go the faith part just kind of came easy. Well, with prayer of course which is the last principle.
Prayer – can change your life, your perspective, marriage, career, business, literally everything! I used to think God didn’t want to hear from me so why pray. I can count numerous times that I had absolutely no idea how I was going to do something or pay a bill but God always came through and made a way when I prayed. Looking back I wasted so many years all because I refused to pray and ask for help.
If you are struggling in your business, career, marriage, or just life, like I once was; you don’t have to struggle anymore. God loves you and wants to help you. I am a firm believer that God helps those who help themselves. By adapting the 6 Biblical Principles above you are helping yourself.
There is absolutely no Believer who should be struggling. We have a mighty God who loves us so much that He gave His only begotten son. I mean I could never give one of my children up… for anyone! When I read the story of Abraham in Genesis 22 I can’t help but feel sad and kind of guilty.
Sad because I can only imagine the feelings Abraham had to overcome in those moments and what courage he had to have. Guilt comes from my own thoughts “If it were me I would have done it too. Anything for God.” Truth is I know I wouldn’t have.
Instead, God gave us Biblical Principles to adopt and live by.
